La Poire Francaise (The French Pear)

This is a celebration of a sophisticated summertime. It is sweet and mellow, laid-back and refined. It touches on the softer side of life, one that is both gentle and a gentleman at the same time.

La Poire Francaise is mysterious, light, and airy. Ripened Pear, Smokey Guiacwood, and just a hint of Flower Extracts.

A traditional grooming essential for every man who savors the pleasure of a classic wet shave. Shaving soap performs the fundamental task of lubrication between the blade and the skin. It softens the skin and thoroughly cleanses it at the same time.

Our Vegan Shaving Soap produces an easy top lather that is both thick and slick which helps the blade glide across the face smoothly, thus reducing irritation. This soap is more economical than regular shave cream as it lasts much longer with no preservatives added.

Scent - Great scent of "Eau d’Vie Poire Williams" for me 10/10 Leather - you can make it with almost anything, 10/10 Shaving - maybe this is not Saponificio Versanio, but only 1 class lower, 9/10 For me one of the best soap, if you want fruit scent, you must try it!

This soap produces enormous amounts of creamy lather with minimal effort, and it is,as others have noted, super cushion-y. But I've recently starting using a straight razor and I find HeV slightly lacking in the slickness department, and I reserve it for when the DE comes out. The scent, however, is just sensational. To me a very autumnal, pear and cinnamon, baking in the kitchen kind of nostalgia thing. Honestly if this were the worst soap ever I'd still hang onto it just to occasionally open the tub and take a whiff. As i live in an inner-city shoebox, I also appreciate the minimalist, space-saving packaging.

At first, I thought this scent was too sweet, but I eventually came to really enjoy its fruitiness. I also think that this is one of the best performing soaps on the market. It lathers extremely well and has great cushion. I like to take a little bit out of the jar and stick it to the bottom of my shaving scuttle so that my brush continues to build dense lather with each spin.

Very cushiony lather that builds quickly. Scent is strong green apple with tartness. Maybe some notes of original flavor bubblegum. Very faint smell after an hour. Would have liked it if the maker mixed in a vanilla scent with the "pear." After an hour or so the smell fades from tart green apple to a warmer and sweet pear type. Pleasant.
