This brush is a very different experience than I’m used to. You think it’s not loading well and then you expect when you paint on the lather for it to fail, but the opposite is true. It loads very well with no pressure , the lather that paints on is very good and face feel is fantastic.

An excellent horsehair brush: more tail hair makes for a smoother experience. Like others write, no break in period at all, and no funky "stable smell" either. A fine brush, probably my favorite right now. I like horsehair because it feels great, lathers great and is cruelty-free... no creature need die to produce this brush.

Very pleased with this brush. Lathers like crazy, and break period isn't really needed. This is the horse brush to try if you're curious. 50% tail hair means it is less scratchy when compared to the other horse hair brushes available on the site.

I've been using this Vie-Long Cachurro Horse Hair Shaving Brush for the last three days and I must say that I'm very happy with it's performance, (This is my first horse hair shaving brush). In my opinion it falls somewhere in between a badger and a boar brush. It retains a good amount of water and it lathers very well. Excellent shaving brush for those who like to face lather, like myself. Works great with both shaving soap and cream. Excellent quality and craftsmanship.

for those not familiar with horse hair, this is a great brush. no break in needed, no soaking needed, just wet and lather and wow.
