An excellent brush. I have more than a dozen of Omegas, Semogues, Muhles, but prefer to use this inexpensive little wonder. The handle is big enough to hold it comfortably and not have your fingers covered with lather. The knot is big enough to make and hold lather for two passes and small enough to lather your face precisely without wasting lather. The brush is also very compact, which makes it perfect for those who travel a lot. Buy it, you will be happy.

Great value. Picked this one up as a gift for a new shaver who has a beard. A couple shampoos rid it of funk. Sweet little brush and just $7.

Customer review

My experience doing business with Maggard Razors has always been first rate. Good selection, good prices, good shipping time (less than a week from Maggards in the Midwest to me in the Pacific Northwest). I was looking for a shaving brush with the smallest knot I could find to better fit the smaller tubs of soap (Cella, Proraso) in my shaving soap collection. The Omega 10086 Bigger Bambino Travel Boar Brush fit the bill (and the small tubs) wonderfully. For $7 I was not expecting much from this brush... but it has surprised me quite pleasantly. Brand new, it had only a slight animal hair smell too it. I promptly made it stink of distilled white vinegar with its preliminary cleansing before use. That was immediately followed by a rinse, a dish detergent wash and finished-off with a bowl lathering of one of my more economical shaving soaps to bring the bristles to a mild, powdery-fresh scent. A few bristles did come out during the first week, week-and-a-half of use but no more have come out since then. After about six weeks of almost daily shaving, the diminutive 18mm knot bloomed into a soft brush with strong backbone. The 42mm loft fans-out to cover a good sized area, so it doesn't take much longer to work-up and apply lather than my larger, 22-24mm knot brushes. Because of the good results I've had with the Omega 10086 Bigger Bambino brush, I've started looking into smaller silver-tip badger and soft synthetic knot brushes specifically to use with the smaller soaps in my collection. I'll still use the Bigger Bambino, particularly for the hard puck soaps, but I wanted to add the variety of the other two bristle types to my shaving experiences - and I currently have a mild case of B.A.D. (Brush Acquisition Disorder). :D My experience with the Omega 10086 Bigger Bambino Travel Boar Brush has proven to be a good one and the brush is very serviceable and economical.
