Help us support the Adrian Kiwanis Trailhead project by purchasing How to Grow a Moustache and Petal Pusher Fancies products!

Maggard Razors has always been about bringing our customers great products at good prices - and in the past year we've concentrated on becoming a one-stop shop for Artisan made shaving soaps, creams, and aftershaves.  This is a great way for wet shavers to have both the convenience of a one-stop-shop for their wet shaving supplies while also supporting small artisan businesses.  Many of our Artisan suppliers are either an individuals or a very small teams.  Being able to purchase 10 different artisan products all shipped in the same box saves our customers time and a LOT of shipping costs. Through our expansion over the last 2 years, we always tested products to ensure their quality before stocking them.  We do everything in our power to ensure that the products we sell represent a good value in terms of price and performance.  This was true for all of our artisan products as well. Recently we have discovered two of our artisan suppliers, How to Grow a Moustache and Petal Pusher Fancies, are actually one company and have been marketing products in a way that might be deemed ethically unsound.  The response from the community has been shocking!  People are on both sides of the debate, leaving vendors like us struggling to figure out what to do.   We want everyone to remember that Artisans can make mistakes.  They don't have big marketing departments or meetings deciding how best to promote something.  They don't have legal teams or anyone looking over their shoulder approving or disapproving of ideas.  That said, we feel as though some valid points have been brought up by the community. We want to stay neutral in any way that we can.  The fact of the matter is that there is no good way to respond to this.  Some customers will be upset that we keep HTGAM/PPF products in our store.  Others will be upset if we remove them. After long discussions between Casie and I (sometimes a bit heated!), we have decided  that continuing to order How to Grow a Moustache and Petal Pusher Fancies products would represent an unnecessary risk to our business.  This decision was not made due to customer backlash, or individuals intending on boycotting vendors.  There are 3 reasons for this decision: 1.  We do not want to conduct business with any entity who has questionable business ethics. 2.  It is unclear to us if HTGAM/PPF will even exist as a company moving forward. 3.  There are many other Artisans that we would love to order from, and at this point we feel as though the shelf space can be better used. That's it!  Pretty simple and straightforward. So, this leaves us with an issue!  We're pretty well stocked up on HTGAM/PPF products.  What the heck are we going to do with them?  They are good performing products, and a lot of people enjoy using them. We've come up with a way to turn this unfortunate situation into something good.    In our hometown of Adrian, Michigan, the Kiwanis Club has been raising funds to build a new park on the edges of downtown Adrian.  We've been wanting to start giving back to our local community; and we feel like this would be a worthy cause.  You can read about this project on the Adrian Kiwanis Web Page, the City of Adrian Web Page, and the Patronicity Kiwanis Trailhead page where the project is currently being funded.  Our Donation will be matched 100% by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.  We're hoping to raise $1000 for the project, and have a "Maggard Razors" bench be part of the new park. Effective immediately, we will be donating 100% of the proceeds of all How to Grow a Moustache and Petal Pusher Fancies sales to the Adrian Kiwanis Trailhead Park fund, up to $1,000.  If we end up with over $1000 to donate, which will likely happen, all additional proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

In addition, use the code:  HTGAM10 for 10% off your  HTGAM / PPF order!

We thank you all for your continued support! Brad and Casie Maggard Owners, Maggard Razors LLC

After finding out about PAA products I’ve decided not to buy anything else from them.
