Only a small amount of shaving cream is required to create a luxurious, thick (yet fine), cushioning lather, that protects and soothes as you shave.

Ingredients: Agua (water), Stearic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Myristic Acid, Coconut Acid, Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Parfum (fragrance), Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Citronellal, Triethanolamine, Potassium Sorbate, Limonene, Linalool, Butyphenenyl, Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal, Citral, Coumarin, Geraniol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate & Benzyl Cinnamte.

Was super excited to try Castle Forbes Creme from all the previous reviews. Purchased a sample and shaved with it for a week before submitting my thoughts. I used the soap with my maggards de and my sterling slant just for comparisons sake. Performance: Creme performance excellently. Our water here is not particularly good and this creme had no problem building a nice, rich lather. Slickness was good and cushion was outstanding. Very easy to use product that would be good for de or straight shaving alike. Scent: this is where I had some issues. I love limes! Love the smell and love the taste and initially I was all about this lime sent as on the surface, it appears to smell like pure lime. However, my thoughts changed as I finally placed the lime scent. It isn't real lime scent, but rather the scent of lime flavored skittles. That said, it is a very clean smelling artificial lime scent. But in the end, your covering your face with skittle scent. I liked the creme overall. But when it comes down to it, there are truer lime scents out there that cost less and provide an equal shave experience. That's why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.

I agree about the performance. I'm new to wet shaving and bought a selection of cream and soap samples from Maggards. Performance wise this is the best cream I've used followed closely by Trumpers. But I agree with another review in that it has a cleaner type scent. In fact it's the spitting image of a Pinesol scent, not atrocious but I'll try the lavender sample before I will purchase this cream.

I love the lime! This is expensive but it will last me a very long time as compared to other soaps and creams. In the long run, it is worth it so treat yourself to some luxury!

I purchased a sample of this product earlier this year and I just now got around to trying it. Initially upon opening my package I recall smelling the lime and not the other soap I purchased. At first I really like the scent of this cream. It has a very fresh scent to it and at the beginning it was very sweet. It almost reminded me of key lime pie at first. It sat around for awhile but I finally got around to trying the soap. When using the soap the scent changes but I will get to that in a moment. The performance of the cream has been great. The few times I have tried this cream it has been colder in the house so the cream has solidified a bit. This has not affected the performance at all. I put a almond size amount from the sampler container on my bush and whipped it up adding water as needed. The cream explodes into a nice lather and is very slick and protective. I will probably end up getting about 4 or 5 uses out of the sample jar but so far it has been good. I am, however, not a fan of the scent. While in the container it smells fine and is clearly lime scented once I lather it up it tends to smell too much like a cleaner. I fully intend of trying the other scents simply because the performance of the cream is so good. Bottom line, this is a excellent cream and should be tried by everyone. I am not a fan of the lime scent but if you do like lime scents this definitely try this simply because of how it performs.
