D. R. Harris Arlington Shaving Cream is a luxurious, traditional men’s wet shaving product.

Lightly fragranced with Arlington, a classic blend of Citrus and Fern. This top quality and richly concentrated cream contains a high proportion of glycerin. Therefore giving an extra soothing and moisturizing shave along with the best lather.

To use- apply to a damp face and lather using a good quality shaving brush that has been dipped in warm water, or apply with the hands. Upon application, the cream produces a profuse lather which softens the beard for a more comfortable and close shaving experience.

Ingredients (Latest Formula): Aqua (Water), Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Acid, Glycerin, Parfum, Triethanolamine, Limonene, Sodium Hydroxide, Linalool, Geraniol, Citronellol, Citral. (Updated 3/18/2025)

After writing a fairly negative review in July of 2019, I’m here to provide an update. I’ve grown to like D.R Harris Arlington over time. Actually, I don’t just like it. It has become one of my favorite shaving creams. In my initial review I complained that it lacked slickness. And compared to some other creams that might be true. But my perspective now is that Harris provides the right amount of slickness while feeling less “oily” than other creams. It’s still slick, but much easier to rinse off. If I were to use a car metaphor I would say that Harris gives me better “road feel” than many other creams which have my razor feeling more isolated from my skin. I’m back to buy some more today.

It might just be the batch I received or my approach to shaving, but I did not find DR Harris’ shaving cream satisfactory at all. It lacked slickness and lathered poorly compared to TOBS and Trumper in my opinion. I don’t have hard water. I tried it with various combinations of brushes, razors and blades.

DR Harris in my humble opinion is one of the best creams you can get. However their scents are little challenging, like Arlington. Its a familiar scent for sure, just not one that is appealing to me. Thankfully the scent doesn't linger much past the shave. That being said, the cream itself gives me the highest quality, closest shave I can get AND my skin feels the best after shaving with any of the DR Harris creams. Best advice I can give is to try a sample. Hey you might love it!

Great cushion, glide, and moisturizing. The scent is that of fern and citrus. Don't care much for the scent. The product is outstanding for all types of facial hair.
