Hamami is the term for a Turkish bath house. A place where you would go to get a full body cleansing. Traditionally you start in a hot, dry room. This is where you sweat before you bath. After some time you are moved into the actual room where you would bath. You will lie on the göbektaşı (Platform in the middle of the room). The attendant will then begin to lather and scrub away all the dirt on your body before rinsing you with cold water.

We thought this would be a great idea to bring to life in fragrance. Hamami is a clean, wet floral fragrance. The top notes start with a light touch of Saffron and Bergamot. It moves into the green fragrance of Petitgrain and the floral notes of Jasmine Absolute and Geranium. For the base notes we include the clean scent of Sandalwood and Tonka Bean. All while experiencing faint notes of a wet stone.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Beef Tallow, Aqua, Coconut Milk, Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Kokum Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Sodium Hydroxide, Lanolin, Fragrance, Bentonite Clay, Sodium Lactate, Allantoin, Citric Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Tetrasodium EDTA, Aloe Vera, White Willow Bark Extract, Watermelon Extract, Tussah Silk

Did some more testing

I thought the wet stone was coming across as the sole note. I took my plastic lather bowl, put it in hot water to lather, and there are more notes. So, you shouldn't lather at room temp if you want to appreciate it. You need a good heating bowl. I do wish I could just edit since that doesn't change the number of reviews.

It's only been a couple shaves so far

When I got Lonestar, the scent was perfect. I've done 2 pucks so it was time for a change. Hamam looked interesting, so I ordered it. I can smell the wet stone, it seems to take the lead. I'm missing some of the scents, but part of that may be we're having the coldest winter in 10 years, and my humidifier just bit the dust.

Stunning.

Truly a stunning scent. I understand how this scent could be polarizing but for me it’s exactly what I was looking for. Clean, fresh, and cool nicely balanced with warm florals and sandalwood. My girlfriend can not get enough. If you like NO’s use of florals you’ll definitely enjoy this. The aftershave compliments so well and brings the wet stone scent to the front. I rarely write reviews but in the case of this soap I had to publicly praise. Also, always quick and efficient shipping from Maggard. Best of both worlds, retailer and artisan.

A top-notch sandalwood soap

The lather works up real nice and quick and the scent lasts throughout the day. I found Hamami to be representative of the description: an-all day Turkish bath. Imagine sandalwood, strong florals, moist stone, spices, and an exotic aroma that plays of off familiar woodsy notes.

Bought a lot of Noble Otter.always nice The Hamani however is very disappointing.it smells like something that is dead.like rotten wet ground. Never used it,have thrown it away. Rene
