The Omega 50014 boar bristle shaving brush is a short loft brush that comes in a travel tube that doubles as a handle. Easy to push out and click in to the handle.

Gets better and better

I bought one of these and was disappointed, but I kept using it to break it in. The knot was too narrow and didn’t splay well. I liked the tube and handle though, so I bought another, removed the knot and installed a TGN Finest badger knot, which has a loft of only 50mm (the boar knot is 45mm). It was great. Meanwhile I kept breaking in the original boar brush and after 25 uses it is awesome. I will probably still use the badger brush for travel since it dries faster.

A great little travel brush!

Absolutely no nasty smell out of the box. I use shaving soap and I create the lather on my face. Initially, this brush didn't hold soap well. After a week's use I found that I needed to load up this brush quite a bit more than I'm used to for it to hold enough soap to create a good lather. However, it seems to improve each time I use it. I've also been cycling between soaking the bristles for 16 hours or so, then drying the bristles by rubbing on a hand towel and allowing a day to air dry between uses. This brush looks like it will be a winner when it's had a chance to finally break in.

Omega 50014 Travel Boar Shaving Brush

I recently switched to a DE razor for travel and chose the Omega brush for it's compactness and well ventilated travel tube. The brush worked well, especially for the price. I won't feel any remorse over the loss of an expensive brush if my luggage is lost. I can highly recommend Maggard Razors for their extensive selection of shaving products and quick service.

This is an amazing little brush. Works great for face and good bowl lathering. Broke in fast. I Use mostly soaps and it loads well and gives tons of lather. Enough for 3 pass +. All of my other brushes are 24mm or larger and its making me think i may want to try smaller knots. Bought for travel, but find myself using it for face lathering just because its there and an enjoyable brush to use.

I travel a lot and use this brush every time i travel..It works great, has a nice face feel and loads up quickly. For the price it is a fantastic buy.
