Favorite Blade

I get a great shave with these. While they don't quite cut as well as the Platinum or last as long, maybe 1-2 shaves, what I like is they are less harsh and cut less. So it's a great everyday blade that cuts relatively easily without having to be that careful or make a mess. They are pretty sharp though and will easily cut through a few days' growth even if you wait that long for your next shave. The price used to be lower but can occasionally still be found quite economically. I can't give 5 stars because they're not quite as good or objectively cut as well as the Platinum but they work so well for me that this is my #1 go to blade. If you are a regular user of the Platinums give these a try for something different. If you find you want a sharp blade that cuts well but have issues with burn or nicks or you just don't want to spend a lot of time or effort on technique and prefer to bomb around with aplomb and still want a close shave these are for you.

I tried a pack of these being a big fan of the Astra SP blade. My number 1 go to blade is the Gillete 7 o clock "super stainless" Seeing as how Astra blades are owned by Gillette, and the Astra SS blades are " a Gillette blade-superior stainless" I thought to me self "hmm, could it be the same blade, for less under a different name?" It appears not to be, but enough about comparing it to Gillette. Very similar to the SP, this blade is very well rounded. Not overly sharp, or incredibly smooth, a very mid range blade. Something I would certainly recommend for a beginner. I prefer the SP, however I found the edge retention very decent on these. They are a tad more expensive than SP though.
