Love the brush hate the color

Of course, I have got the worst luck. I figured I had a 20% chance of getting a red handle brush. Not that I am a big gambler but one chance in five that I get the color that is the least appealing to me. I'll take those odds most of the time. It did not pay off. The brush is fantastic, it has the normal boar smell that will subside after being used a few times. However, it is tomato red. I love a salted and peppered tomato sandwich but a tomato red shave brush just seems like a crime against my eyeballs. It is a good thing for me that I am one of only two people that will ever see it and the only one to use it. Great brush, horrible color.

Excellent value. Near perfect boar knot in terms of consistency and softness. It becomes easier to use with each soak. Pretty good size actually and I really dig this yellow retro handle! If you're on the fence about trying a boar brush, you cannot go wrong with this one! Very happy!

Customer review

This is a great brush for the price. Compared to the "striped" Omega boar brushes these "natural" bristled brushes start out a lot softer and with notably less backbone. They still have more backbone than most badger hair brushes, but their softness means that these brushes work great for face lathering. They still have enough backbone to pick up hard soaps, but they are less "scratchy" than similar brushes that have artificially stripped bristles. Once these brushes are broken in over the course of maybe a month, they will become as soft as a silvertip badger hair brush when wet. Like I said, for the price this is a great medium-sized brush that should last your for years of pleasurable shaving.
