After many customer requests, we present Santa Paula, and all natural citrus based shaving soap.

Santa Paula, CA is a beautiful little town, known as the Citrus Capital of the World. Several years ago, I spent a couple months there and fell in love with the orchards that stretched in all directions. This is my ode to them. Light and perfect for every occasion, I hope you enjoy Santa Paula as much as I do.

An all natural blend of Petitgrain, Siberian Fir, Bitter Orange, Clary Sage, Litsea Cubeba, Siam Wood, and Cedar. This one is light and airy, a much needed scent in the Chiseled Face line up.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Aloe Vera Juice, Potassium Hydroxide, Beef Tallow, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Glycerin, Essential Oils, Mango Butter, Avocado Oil, Silk Powder.

Good bitter citrus and wood scent

It smells like a citrus leaf when you tear it and smell it or a green citrus twig. It has that kind of bitter scent plus it has a strong wood smell. Its not sweet. It’s a unique outdoor woody sent.

Excellent scent

This is not your typical citrus scent. This is the smell of a citrus grove, rather than of the fruit itself. Having grown up near Santa Paula I can tell you that CFG really nailed the scent profile on this one. It holds some nostalgia for me and I think it actually smells great. But I think this one won't be for everyone.

God, this scent is horrible. It literally smells like a green pepper. Not bright, and I certainly get no citrus from it.

Customer review

Chiseled Face’s “Santa Paula” has a very nice, complex citrus scent that runs on the dark side vs. a Don Marko or Thomas Tew. The dominant note was a bit like blood orange to my nose. The lather was thick but a little bubbly, which concerned me, but the slickness, and protection were more or less on par with, say, a Soap Commander soap—i.e. excellent. And it really shined on post-shave, too; top notch. It paired very well, though not perfectly, with ****** Woodwright’s “Thomas Tew” aftershave. Given that I only had time to wet my face with warm water as a pre-shave, and that I was on the third use of a Personna Lab Blue blade, the Santa Paula really did perform admirably. This soap is a total keeper but not necessarily at the top of my rotation—a couple more shaves and I will know for sure. Customer review

I was really excited to finally get this soap. While I do not normally reach for citrus forward scents, the description on this intrigued me. The citrus note is that of bitter orange, not a cloying sweet orange or even a fresh squeezed orange. It is quickly grounded by notes of cedar, bark and herbaceous notes. The performance is also of high quality.
