We've sourced a new safety razor head design that provides an extremely efficient shave with an incredibly mild feel.

These heads are designed similar to a vintage Gillette Tech in that there are not alignment pegs - the blade is aligned with corner notches in the top cap.

There is a substantial gap between the blade edge and the safety bar - -but, at the same time there is very little exposure. This creates an extremely comfortable, efficient shaver that runs through multiple days growth with ease but is so comfortable you'll barely feel the blade!

Standard M5 x 0.8 threading

Materials: Zinc Alloy, Chrome plated.

Warranty: 6 months from date of purchase

Go-to!

I purchased this head originally as a travel set and have not made a review. At that time, I had an issue with one handle pairing with the thread on a razor head; this was quickly resolved by Maggard. I recently purchased more Maggard heads and several of these V3M, along with more handles. Point being, this has quickly been my go-to razor; pick your choice of handle. I have a Muhle, Merkur, and other large brands, from mild or beginner to aggressive and open comb. This is much cheaper and a much better shave. I regularly grab this setup which I would describe as an efficient, close shave that is also not harsh, it doesn’t clog on a few days growth. The head is quick to cut and doesn’t leave hairs behind. This razor head cuts me less and performs a better shave than any of my expensive razors.

You get what you pay for!

Experience purchasing item was fine. Made purchase based upon reviews, mistake.. Material is very thin and appears flimsy. Will have to experiment with blades to obtain a decent shave. My bad.

Mild razor head

I really looked forward to using the mild head. I was shocked to feel the raw aggression of the "mild" head. It's not mild, by any definition. I got the worst cuts and razor burn from it than from any razor, ever. The blade gap is a whopping 1.55mm, which is huge, and that explains the trouble I had. Mild razor heads will usually have a blade gap of .4mm to .68mm or so, but the gap on this one is multiples of that. Do yourself a favor and buy this head only if you are willing to use extreme caution and "ride the cap" when shaving.

It depends on the blade

I agree with most of the reviews here and was so frustrated with this razor I put it in my "inactive" area. It did not feel mild at all. Then, after months in isolation, I pulled it out and into the rotation. And it suddenly became the mild shaver they say it is. What made the difference? For one a sharp blade. Mine was a 7 o'clock permasharp (go figure). You gotta use a sharp blade with this thing. Then use a good slick soap. Mine was Palmolive stick (no longer available). The other is watch your angle. I'm almost riding the cap to keep that gap from biting. There you have it and hope it makes sense. (I did have a cocktail)

Exceptionally mild and effective. No sloppy alignment issues like the standard v3.
