Pine and Cedarwood: This scent is simultaneously invigorating and warm. The dominant note is pine, which is backed up and rounded out by a cedarwood base

This soap is the real deal. Tallow is the main ingredient, regarded by many shaving enthusiasts (myself included) as yielding the creamiest, slickest, and most protective lather possible. In addition, this soap is rich in vegetable glycerin, kokum butter, shea butter, and avocado oil. It also contains kaolin clay, which creates a slick buffer between your skin and the blade.

The icing on the cake is lanolin, a waxy substance derived from the wool of sheep and a fantastic conditioner and humectant. This soap will provide an effortless and downright decadent shave that will leave your skin feeling soft, supple, and smooth. Each container contains about 5 ounces of soap.

Ingredients: Distilled water; saponified tallow (beef) and stearic acid; vegetable glycerin; saponified kokum butter, avocado oil, and shea butter; lanolin, fragrance and/or essential oil(s); saponified coconut oil; kaolin clay, vitamin E.

Another winner from Mike's. A beautifully scented and great performing soap that ranks up there with the best on the market. Throw in the very reasonable price and this becomes a 5-star soap for sure. A must-have for every shave den.

After several months of using this soap, I can say that it is an excellent performer. Great slickness and cushion, and the scent is what I thought it would be--a straightforward pine and cedarwood (although the scent has died down considerably after several months). Lathering is easy with my Semogue 830, AOS best badger, Omega S10019 and Razorock Bruce. I find that it can handle a lot of water, and that you can really customize the lather to being very cushiony to very slick. I'm now a huge fan of Mike's, and I will be trying other scents in the future. I would prefer if the soap came in a tin, but I just transferred it to a clear plastic tub.

i bought this soap because Mike's soaps are absolutely the best I have ever used. The Pine and Cedarwood was the only scent left in stock, so I figured "what the hell." Since artisanal soaps are very competitive,I also wondered if there would ever be any more production from Mikes and I figured I would scarf up the last tin. Scents have never been very important to me. It's the same fantastic soap, but the scent is really funky -- bit like whatever they used to clean the floors in my old public school.
