I've been using this brush daily since Christmas. I wouldn't say that this brush doesn't have any backbone. it definitely has less backbone than Simpson brushes but just look at the loft that this brush has. It is a great performing brush for the price. I get a great lather whether I face lather or bowl lather or if I'm using creams or triple- milled soaps. I find myself admiring the faux jade handle whenever I am in my bathroom!

No backbone but soft as silk, definitely a perfect "painter's" brush. With a decent prep it lathers beautifully, love the jade finish.

Picked this up as my second brush (the first brush I've owned is the cheap tweezerman from amazon). At first I didn't like this brush as it felt like it needed more backbone and it was a bit too soft for me. I was disappointed for the first week, but kept with it and now I love how this brush feels on my skin compared to my scratchy/poor-lathering tweezerman! This thing holds a lot of lather and is sooooo soft and comfortable. I think it just took a bit of time for me to get used to a different type of brush. Plus the handle is beautiful ;)
