Great razor, and I will definitely own more from Aust, but the extra weight of a 6/8 helps the razor get through my neck area better as I have a coarse beard. That is on me, though. The quality of the razor, and the hone from Maggard were on point, so the razor gets five stars. I'll definitely be picking up the 6/8 version in the near future.

This is my first straight razor purchase even though I have been shaving for years. It certainly lives up to the reputation of Ralf Aust's quality. It seems to be perfect for a starter straight. I am looking forward to using this razor for years!

My first straight was a kit from ***** Armor. It tugged and pulled but I didn't know what sharp was. This razor is night and day above it! Effortless, smooth, 1 pass shave. 1.5 oz compared to the 3 oz of the aforementioned razor. Light and easy to wield. Never looking back! Thank you Ralf Aust and Maggards!
