I was on a hunt for a synthetic knot that did not look like a badger/boar knot. When I visited Maggard Razors in person, Brad showed me all the synthetic knots and I picked up the black and white as well as this timberwolf (both in 24mm). I put this knot in a 25mm Maggard Razors Shaving Brush Handle with the default seating (no coins to make the handle plug shallower). The timberwolf knot had more splay than the Maggard black and white knot but maybe a little less splay/more backbone than the Plissosft knot in Razorock Disruptor. The fibers are very soft. I really like the timber wolf and Maggard brush handle combination. It is one of my favorite brushes.
For reference, Brad gave the Maggard synthetic brush backbone order as follows (from least backbone to most): blonde, banded, timberwolf grey/black, then black/white.
