Summer Break Soaps Cannonball Artisan Shaving Soap, 4oz - Seasonal

My new favorite soap. This stuff is great in every way and lets you enjoy a great summer day by the pool without even going outside.

I don't usually do reviews, but this artisan definitely deserves it. This is most likely my second favorite shaving soap base ever (and I've tried almost anything available, including all the "top" names). That says pretty much everything. Cushion, glide, lather stability, all excellent. Post shave is truly great, almost elite level. The scent in this one is a rather strange fruity blend. Pineapple and Orange are definitely there, but mind you, this is not another sweet, fruity scent. The Ozone and Chlorine notes give it that "pool" effect and keep it sharp and kinda bitter. The synthetic menthol in this one is on a Fern Concerto level. Not too much, not too little. I would have liked some more, but that's me. Really underrated artisan here. No fancy packaging, no boasting about how great their products are and how unique they smell, no hype, no "super extra limited editions", just straightforward top notch products, with a clever concept coming from their working environment. A 5/5 star product (and company for that matter).

I enjoyed the old soap formula but this one is a step forward. The post shave is improved and the price is right. The pineapple is blended lightly into the other scent notes so this is not a slap you face fruity scent. The scent is very unique with good strength. This is now my favorite summer scent. The wife likes it as well so that's always a plus.
