Beautiful razor

Very good setup for a 70 year old man with not as tough skin as i did a few years back.

I have a few Gillette fat boys and a 162 Gillette slim adjustable razors and they shave really good but even with different blades i would cut myself every time i shaved. I took a gamble and purchased the Maggard SS70 razor and MR11 handle combo and let me tell you this razor shaves real good and so far no cuts. The razor is built with quality stainless steel and the finish is a work of art and the balance is perfect. Wonderful razor at a wonderful price.

Like Geoff, do I really need another razor? Knowing Maggard's commitment to quality, when I saw this stainless steel DE come out, I knew that Santa would add a little extra piece of shaviing kit in my stocking this year. Santa and Maggard Razor didn't disappoint. Superbly milled, well polished, this is one handsome razor. The SS70 falls in the category of an everyday razor, easily providing a shave that is both mild and efficient. For the past few weeks using a variety of razor blades, I've compared this razor to the Merkur 34, Muhle R89 , Gamechanger 68. I've used In all cases the SS70 more than holds it's own against these fine razors. Unlike the fine Merkur and Muhle razors the SS70 will last for many decades.

What a nice performer!

I was skeptical when this came out. Do I really need another razor? I must've had it in and out of my cart 5 times before I finally pulled the trigger. I have a very coarse beard and sensitive skin, which is a bad combo. I've used the V3 and the V3A, a Merkur 34C and a Rockwell 6S at varying levels. This SS70 is super efficient and smooth and comfortable at the same time. I know it's similar to another brand but I really appreciate the finish on this and the fact that the blade is completely covered to avoid nicks, especially under my nose. I may be selling some of my other razors. Very happy with this purchase!
