Soap Commander Endurance Artisan Shaving Soap, 6oz

I’ll start by stating that this is not my favorite Soap Commander scent, but it is definitely a good one. I own it and the matching balm. Like all of Darren and Carrie’s products it is top notch. It lathers well, albeit it is somewhat “thirsty”. The lather, as long as you add enough water is spectacular. The scent is that of old spice aftershave. The Container is also a real win. You get 6 oz. instead of the usual 4 oz for only $15. The container is rugged and easy to hold while lathering with some extra space to facilitate that process. When I say that ENDURANCE isn’t my favorite SC product , I’m talking about splitting hairs. I feel they are on a par with soaps brands like PAA, Barrister & Mann and Stirling. One thing is for sure, no shaving company has a better customer support than the Commander. Their company was founded because of a skin problem with one of their children, so their products tend to be better than most for those of us who have sensitive skin.

A pleasant smell is really very similar to Old Spice. Easy to lather and forms a dense foam. The lather is thick and provides good slickness. It goes well with the balm. Nice price.

I know I'm in the minority here big time but I think this is a good soap, not a great one. The scent for me is lacking and I don't get the whole Old Spice thing. It smells to me like baby powder with a small dose of spice for good measure. Performance is good but not off the charts good IMO. Overall 4 stars for me.

Amazing. Smells just like my Chilean grandfather who passed away in 2003. And the performance is outstanding.
