Summer Soap

LEA hard puck is a triple milled non-tallow base soap. It has a very light sandalwood fragrance and a light menthol effect. It took me a while to figure out how to get the best out of this soap. First, it is very hard and must be bloomed (use the bloom water as your pre-shave). Next you must use a well soaked boar bristle brush.Don't even think of using a synthetic or badger brush to load it. Load for at least 30 seconds like you mean it then face lather. LEA's strong points are that it lathers quickly and voluminously. I mean it lathers explosively. It also rinses very clean. It doesn't do as good of a job at softening the beard as most tallow soaps do. Slickness is average at best. It lasts forever so it is a good value. It makes a very nice summer soap because of the light fragrance and the slight menthol effect.

This is a great soap performance and scent wise. The scent is not like any other sandalwood I have come across, I mean this in a good way. It is hard to describe, kind of earthy and sweet. The performance is great, no problems whipping up a nice lather. The menthol is not very strong and is just enough to give a slight cooling sensation to prevent irritation. I believe it is a triple mill soap because it is very dense and should last a long time if used daily so it is a good value as well.
