Lavender Noir - B ergamot, mandarin, lavender, geranium, sambac jasmine, oud, patchouli, amber, pink pepper, vanilla, coffee, amber, benzoin. Many have been anticipating the public release of our Luxury Line, known as Ultima. From packaging to performance, everything about Ultima speaks luxury; setting a new benchmark in shaving soaps and aftercare. Lavender Noir is a warm & somewhat dark lavender scent which I think will become a big time crowd pleaser. I’m not aware of anything smelling quite like this and believe this will represent our luxury line quite well. As mentioned, Lavender Noir offers a very warm and wonderful lavender fragrance using two types of lavender. LN leads with its tangy passion of Bergamot, while lavender and geranium blend into a fresh note, chic and chivalrous all at once. The lavender is most prominent. I’m using two types of lavender. Lavender absolute, which is paste-like and lavender Grosso a beautiful French hybrid. The composition is enhanced by the natural elegance of pink pepper, which I use quite often. The base settles on a bed of vanilla and agarwood with an intriguing note of coffee added. Lastly, I used Siam Benzoin direct from Thailand. Inspired by Dior Sauvage Monte Carlo would be classified as an aquatic-fougere. The scent is centered on pepper, citrus notes and dry ambery woods with some mossy patchouli lingering below. The black pepper, ambroxan and geranium are pleasant and warming while taking you down a dark and mysterious path leading to vetiver and patchouli for a cooling & grounded base. This was inspired by Xerjoff Nio Rich and tasty Calabria bergamot and neroli are mixed with mysterious spicy notes of cardamom, nutmeg and pink pepper. Ouddiction A somewhat gourmand scent from Ariana & Evans. There's a brash opening of cinnamon, vanilla and honey. The combination creates a wonderful accord with the light rose, cinnamon and honey dominating the early development. It's quite rich at the opening and deserves restraint. As it develops, the earthy sandalwood, oud and vanilla warm through the opening spices and the combination of these notes offers a sweet Middle Eastern like accord. Limoncello is the Italian word referring to an intensely lemon flavored liqueur famously associated with and produced in Sorrento, the Amalfi coast, and the island of Capri, but also very popular throughout all of Italy. Limoncello is made ​​from lemon zest, water, alcohol, and sugar. It’s a beverage usually consumed after meals, but a perfect drink for every occasion. I created this in honor of my grandfather Frank Capano, who was born in Calabria. Morrocan Fig takes you on an exotic journey to Casablanca. It’s a wonderful warm & inviting scent in an extraordinary base. The fig note is gorgeous and previously used in summer fig. That’s where the similarities end. My grandfather (on Greek side) we called Pappouli. He drank ouzo with his coffee every day. Sometimes a bit too much 🤣 and would fall asleep at the cash register (family restaurant). He would have loved this. Pappouli was from Sparta. Santorini is our latest aquatic with a hint of Ouzo. It smells amazing with a nighttime vibe. I added lemon, as we all know the Greeks love lemon. I never met a person who didn’t love pistachio’s. Pistachios are culinary nuts that are actually part of the cashew family, Anacardiaceae ! Bet you didn’t see that one coming! Native to Central Asia, the pistachio as we know it dates back all the way to cultivation from the Asian Bronze Age! Interestingly enough, it is actually the seed of a red, pointed, desert drupe fruit! Its tree is very strong and hearty, sometimes being able to survive for up to 300 years. Enough about the history of pistachios, let’s talk about taste & smell. Pistachio nuts are one thing, but what’s better than pistachio gelato, pistachio macon’s, pistachio cupcakes, pistachio cookies….I can go on and on. Our soap is between the nut and cupcakes ( there’s a joke there somewhere 🤣). It smells Friggin amazing. What have we done to make this a banger? I added a hint of almond oil (it smells like almond extract ♥️) and Sambac jasmine from my trip to the Philippines. What can make it even better? It’s Ariana & Evans K2e! It simply does not get better. Notes: mandarin orange, pistachio, sambac, hint of almond & creamy sandalwood. Plum & Bliss combines two of my all-time favorite notes Plum & C*nnabis. Think of Asian Plum meets Cannabliss Santal. This is not actually a combination of the two however the two most recognizable notes within Plum & Bliss are borrowed from both of these prolific scents. This soap is made in our VR1 High Density Vegan Base Siam (Thailand) is a scent based upon my visit to the south of Thailand, just north of Phuket and away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Pure serenity and opulence. I had stayed in the town of Kamala, a quiet ocean front oasis. Gardens abound, a feast for my senses. While on this trip, I would periodically write in my Evernote fragrance inspirations based upon my sensory experience. The entire region is an olfactory overload of pungent fruits and the subtle sweetness of florals which permeated through the warmth of the air. The resort had this beautiful spa, which was surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. It's this spa which inspired Siam. Inspired by Creed Virgin Island Water St. Barts beautifully blends lime, coconut and rum into a warm, creamy scent, reminiscent of a very high-end niche type fragrance. The story behind the scent September of last year I met with colleagues in NYC from the UK and US offices for training. One of our trainees from Texas liked to smoke occasionally (maybe a bit more than occasional lol). In NYC they actually have cannabis trucks... they sell weed in ice cream trucks! I never saw this before and thought it was hilarious. She ended up buying a strawberry infused joint, which smelled amazing. That unmistakable scent was the inspiration for Strawberry Fields Strawberry Fields is the flanker to our incredible Cannabliss Santal offering. The main difference is an amazingly fresh strawberry note, which smells similar to what my colleague purchased while in NYC. Strawberry Fields is a rich, spicy and herbaceous with aromas intermingled with soft florals & a hint of rum. Additionally, there's an unmistakable c*nnabis note, which settles on a nice base of cedarwood, sandalwood & patchouli (very light on the patchouli). Tobacco Cashmere offers a masculine, woodsy scent that is calming and upscale. This scent begins with top notes of smoky mahogany and crystal amber, followed by middle notes of star jasmine, clove leaf, and soft cashmere; sitting on masculine base notes of sweet tobacco, tonka bean, and white musk.
