Tobacco Road Welcome to Tobacco Road our very first scent created in our all new Ultima Luxury line. The scent is very warm, inviting, masculine and complex. This will be a scent you’ll love smelling throughout the day and evening. The tobacco is realistic, because we use tobacco absolute. I’m using a beautiful honey note, which was previously used when creating Ouddiction. We’re using Hinoki for the first time in this composition. Hinoki wood (Japanese Cypress) offers a dry & woody note with soft herbal/lemony undertones. It’s very understated in this scent. The tobacco I’m using has a rich, nuanced, warm and slightly sweet scent and capped off with a rich amber base. The Ultima formulation is rich and luxurious. I believe it sets a new standard in post shave feel. I believe it’s easier to lather and requires less water. A celebration of passion, travel, and the art of creation, our Matcha Tea is the result of a deeply personal journey crafted by my daughter, Thalia Ariana. A true connoisseur of matcha, Thalia recently traveled to Japan, immersing herself in the vibrant matcha culture of Tokyo and Osaka, visiting tea shops at every opportunity and savoring the flavors, rituals, and unique fragrances of each experience. her love for matcha is not just a taste, but a deep connection to tradition, and she wanted to translate that experience into a scent that would evoke both the fresh, green vibrancy of matcha and the rich, calming essence of the tea ceremony. drawing on her travels, Thalia carefully curated each note in this fragrance, blending her favorite elements of matcha with the essence of the journey itself. the process was one of both inspiration and discovery — each ingredient chosen to mirror the feeling of sipping a perfect cup of matcha in the heart of Japan. Which One's Pink is a woody-oriental scent, leaving you comfortably numb with it's mysterious and sultry notes. This may not have the smell of 'Money', but you will be richly rewarded with smoky sandalwood, cinnamon, cardamom and pink pepper. Woods & Spices started with my friend Mattia, who was describing a scent he wanted for his new beard care line in Italy. The scent is a dry wood, sweetened with a hint of vanilla. The spice comes from pink pepper, saffron & bay leaf and a very, very small amount of cinnamon. The base, well…it’s wonderful. This scent would be a year-round fragrance. The soap is presented in our elegant glass jars with metal top and 4 ounces of soap. The matching fragrance and splash is a must. Over time, many famous fragrance and shaving houses adopted the custom and offered their own versions of the classic scent, which proved to be extremely popular with barbers as well. Barrister and Mann® is proud to offer our own version of a classic Bay Rum . Dispensing with the modern custom of using large amounts of clove, we instead blend real black strap rum with West Indie bay, sweet orange, cinnamon, and benzoin (a vanilla-like resin). Our Bay Rum is a warm, masculine classic, a piece of history, and a favorite for winter, but is well-suited for any time of year. Directions: Wet your shaving brush well, then swirl it around the jar for roughly thirty seconds or until a rich, creamy lather is formed. Continue building the lather by adding water (lots and lots of it) and swirling your brush either on your face or in a lathering bowl. Shave, rinse, and spend your day feeling great. Arguably one of the most famous blends of tea in the world, Earl Grey is believed to be named after Charles, the Second Earl Grey, and was first produced by Charlton & Co. of Jermyn St. in London around 1880. The tea is traditionally flavored with bergamot, a peppery relative of orange from Italy. Its distinctive scent had never been re-created in shaving soap until Barrister and Mann® decided to give it a go. We blend American clary sage, bergamot, and small amounts of lavender and patchouli to create a very realistic interpretation of the smell of Earl Grey (the tea, not the man). Armed with only this small sample and historical records of what went into the original, we set out to re-create the famous design by smell alone. After four months of research, formulation, reformulation, and constant refinement, we successfully rebuilt Mousse de Saxe into its original glory. It seemed only fitting that such an achievement should be used to create a soap inspired by some of the greatest masculine fragrances of all time. They have a long and storied history, going all the way back to megalomaniac and perfume tycoon François Coty , who created the family in 1917 (and promptly sparked a fragrance revolution). Inspired by smells indigenous to the island nation of Cyprus, Le Grand Chypre ("Leh Grond SHEEP-ruh") combines notes of bergamot, lime, labdanum, oakmoss, and a touch of patchouli to produce an elegant, citrusy heart. John Muir, for whom the famed national park "Muir Woods" is named, was a driven man. He loved nature so much that he crusaded for decades to preserve it, founding the Sierra Club and establishing national parks at Yosemite and the Sequoia National Forest, which inspired the conservation of other natural wonders all over the United States. He was so outspoken and persuasive that no less than Ansel Adams, perhaps the greatest nature photographer of the 20th Century, regarded him as a direct influence and inspiration for his work. In keeping with Muir's love of the forests, we've attempted to capture the crepuscular gloom of the woods at dusk, all purples and greens and blues. Blackberry seemed a perfect choice to blend with the jammy resin of balsam fir, while oakmoss and vetiver lace the undergrowth, imparting earthy mossiness and wood. The scent of damp air, so common in the Pacific Northwest where Muir made his home, wends its way through the fragrance, leaving a hauntingly gossamer shimmer in its wake.
