Azure Get your mind lost in blue skies and white puffy clouds after using this aquatic chypre. The idea of a modern “blue barbershop” has been stuck in my head for years. I started with the usual suspects of bergamot, lavender, geranium, petitgrain, synthetic moss, and coumarin. To turn it to a modernized “blue” scent I enlisted the help of aquatic notes, muguet, musks, a healthy overload of hedione and a kiss of ambroxan. I then added a bit of a specialty extract of labdanum called hydrocarboresine and it wound up turning into this beautiful aquatic chypre I'm offering you today. NJ is known for many things, some not so great but we are the blueberry capitol of the world thanks to our sandy acidic soil. But how to make a blueberry scent that people will reach for over and over again.....the power of fern! I layered a fresh blueberry accord over a woody and green fougere construct and made something I really enjoy and think you will too. Every now and then we all need an escape from the day to day. A Retreat from the mundane.
