Gin and Tonic aftershave splash is my favorite Stirling scent. It smells like a gin and tonic made just the way that I like it: with lots of lime. The lime is bright and citrusy. To me, this is the true lime scent that I look for. Other lime products I've tried sometimes fall short and end up too sweet-smelling (lime meringue pie) or too artificial (citrus cleaner).
The juniper scent complements the lime--it adds interesting bitter notes and balances the citrus at an appropriate level. This helps to build a supporting scent of lime zest or lime skin. The juniper is restrained and does not go to the piney/chewing on an evergreen branch intensity that you find in some brands of gin.
When applying, the scent strength is moderate for around five minutes, then fades to a faint level that is detectable for almost an hour. I'm sensitive to strong perfumes, so your experience may vary.
The splash contains witch hazel and aloe, which I normally like; however, it feels like those are present in lower amounts. Sometimes there's light burn from the alcohol and my skin ends up slightly dry. Stirling offers a witch hazel and aloe aftershave in a larger bottle. I may need to give that a try.
