I can’t taste this Margarita.... I had high hopes for the Margaritas in the Arctic (MITA) witch hazel and aloe aftershave, but was disappointed. Here's why: I love lime scents and I love margaritas. While the reviews for MITA soap are very, very good, they focus on the feeling--"I can’t taste this Margarita"--more than the scent. Based on the MITA name, I figured the scent would be limey/margarita-like. What I received was different.
For my first five or so shaves, the scent was very strong menthol, almost like Vicks VapoRub. The bottle was filled to the top. As a consumer, I appreciate that, but I'm guessing that it prevented the product from mixing properly. I put some effort into trying to "shake well" for every shave. For those shaves, there was not much lime/margarita scent. For shaves six and counting, there is more tequila (?) and lime scent, but it still seems like a fake industrial cleaner/hard-candy lime scent. The tequila scent almost works, but not quite.
On the plus side, the menthol aftershave feels great. The cool feeling starts after a few minutes and lasts another 10 minutes. I also love the way that the witch hazel and aloe make my skin feel smooth, clean, and hydrated.
