Straight Razors

THESE SCALES ARE NOT PRE-DRILLED!! These factory-made black plastic scales will accept blades up to 6/8", and grinds ranging from half hollow to full hollow. I would not recommend a very heavy grind razor be pinned into these scales - it will stick out pretty far. Although the "wedge" on these scales isn't very "wedgie", the scales are at least functional. For the price, they aren't so bad. A cheap alternative to custom scales to get your old razors going again. These scales are not drilled at the pivot end. Does not include pins or washers – pinning kits are available for sale separately. These scales will accept blades up to 4.5" from pivot hole to tip of blade. if your razor is longer than that, send me an e-mail, there is a chance I can find one that has a smaller wedge (they vary slightly from the factory, some wedges are longer than others, allowing for slightly longer blades). Or, you could check out some of the other replacement scales I have available.

Product Description Iron Oxide is a great way to get a few more shaves out of your straight razors, or polish the bevel after a honing session. A very small amount of our Iron Oxide Paste goes a long way! Usage is simple! Just take a tiny amount – about as much as you can scoop out on a toothpick – and apply it evenly on an area of your strop/balsa/felt. Afterwards, use the back of a spoon to carefully rub it in. Allow it to dry out overnight, and you’re all set. Re-apply after 10-20 uses, or you feel as though the results are lacking.

S1-491: 210mm x 70mm x 10mm Grit: 12,000 A synthetic water stone, the Naniwa 12000 grit is one of the highest rated finishing stones on the market. Consistent results, and mirror-polished smooth shaves. Stones should be lapped before first use! With a 12,000 grit Naniwa superstone, you can maintain all of your straight razors with ease - just do 10 strokes or so a month with only water and very little pressure, and your razor will stay sharp for as long as you're around!

S1-480: 210mm x 70mm x 10mm Grit: 8000 A synthetic water stone, the Naniwa 8000 grit is useful for continuing the polish on a razor or knife that already has a bevel set. It should be used AFTER a 3000, 4000, or 5000 grit stone. Stones should be lapped before first use! Although some guys shave off of a 8000 grit edge, most prefer the results from a final finishing stone (10000 or 12000 grit).
