Works well in a Supply Razor

I first purchased a Supply “Custom” Razor with three switchable heads about four years ago. The razor was beautifully built, solid and hefty, but it soon became apparent that its weak point was the meager selection of available injector blades: all of them lacked sharpness. I therefore applaud Patrick for seeing this problem and going as far as Japan to solve it. The Black Label blades are indeed much sharper than the Pellas or Chinese Schicks. The Black Labels cut much closer and cleaner than the others, but need much more care in use. I had to switch from my usual medium to the mild head to avoid problems. Personally, I found the blades a bit too aggressive for my face and must rate them a four. YMMV. I note that Patrick now has a finned comb and fully adjustable models available and I have the feeling that they will mate better with these blades, given his attention to detail. I also tried the Black Label injector in my old Schick adjustable and the key was too thick to fit, so my review of these blades only applies to their use in a Supply razor.

Great Blade, but horrible, almost dangerous injector (for a vintage razor)

I would give the blades 5 stars, but the injector is a -10 in my opinion. The blade is probably the best I have ever used in an injector. Smooth and sharp. But the injector itself won't even work in one of my vintage razors. I ended up taking one of these blades and carefully inserting it into an old Ted Pella injector. This is not for the faint of heart. Maybe these work great in Supply's own razors, but I would think twice about using them in a vintage one. This is a shame because my experience with the Ted Pella blades is that they are very inconsistent from blade to blade. It would have been nice to give them some real competition.
