Used this paired with a Merkur Progress loaded with a Permasharp blade and it was terrible. Yes it makes a lot of lather but it lacks richness, sheen, and cushion. It sets fast on your skin too. Maybe I'm spoiled on Tabac and Pre Di provence but I also get better results with Proraso red and the green as well as Omega. TOBs cream is not for me. If you like slick, rich, pearly lather skip this stuff !

I do hope that this is not a new trend with TOBS in reformulating the base but the lather was plain awful. period. I had to to bloom... yes bloom this shaving cream. Terrible experience here. The lather was like gloop.. no lather at all. Scent was no better, a cheapish almond /cherry or marzipan scent. Definitely won't be buying this one again.

I bought this as a sample when i started to wet shave and loved it instantly; this is my favorite shave cream now. I bought several samples of the TOBS creams and i love this company; their products are unparalleled. great lather and protective whip, and wonderful, rich scents that don't overpower.

Great stuff - provides a slick lather for great protection, and the smell is to DIE for. If you've tried Cella and like the scent, you'll love this just as much. Smells like Maraschino Cherries. Very strong scent in the tub but goes on light and just right. You won't be sorry with this in your Shave den.

Nice rich lather is always easy with TOBS creams. Little goes a long way. But also like other TOBS products that I've used, the scent is always pleasant, never harsh. That can't be said of other creams from the UK. What also seems to be a TOBS is that their scents never seem to linger for too long. To my nose, the scent basically lasts for the shave and then disappears. That's not a knock on TOBS, its just a characteristic that might be useful. For example, if I am going to exercise like go cycling, then I really don't want some perfume scent lingering on. And on these occasions, I reach for either TOBS Almond or Lavender. The Almond cream smells so good You want to eat it! Great stuff.
