The Parker Two Piece SoloEdge Single Edge safety razor is a precision tool that will serve you well for many years and is the perfect razor for new and experienced wet shavers looking for the blade angle of a cartridge razor with the benefits of a safety razor. It's time to ditch the plastic cartridge razors and give our all metal, plastic free Parker SoloEdge a try!

The highly economical blade replacements are simply double edge blades snapped in half or we recommend our pre-cut double edge half blades for ease of loading since there is no blade curvature. These are very economical, plastic free and widely available. We even suggest that you try out different blades to find your own personal preference for your shave choice.

What's more, once the blade is securely loaded in the slots, it will automatically have the perfect exposure so there is no need for any adjustment. The angle is intuitive to shave with, as it is similar to a cartridge razor angle in its design.

SoloEdge Safety Razor Benefits: Excellent weight & balance with a sleek head design for tight spots, built in efficient shaving angle, less skin irritation, economical & widely available blade replacements, eco-friendly, plastic-free razor and replacement blades.

Razor Type: Two-Piece Single Edge Safety Razor

Weight: 94 g (3.3 oz.)

Length: 9.8 cm (3.9 in.)

Blade Type: Half of a Double Edge Blade

BLADE LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Twist the handle to unscrew the top cap of the razor. Please note that this is a two-piece razor, so the safety bar plate is an integral part of the handle.
2. After unscrewing the top cap, hold the razor straight (vertically) and load the *blade, ensuring that the two slots on each end of the safety bar plate hold the blade securely. The blade edges are sharp, so please handle with care.
3. Keep the razor straight and load the top cap again (twist the handle to screw the top cap back on). It is easiest to keep the blade secured by using one hand with a pinching grip to hold the top cap in place, while tightening the handle with your other hand. Once the handle stops rotating, check that the blade is secured, and the handle is tightened. Enjoy a close and comfortable shave!

*Note that there is now a 2.5 mm magnet built into the razor head that helps make blade loading even easier.

Parker's late to the game, but..

Single or 'solo' edge has been around a long time. So, imo nothing groundbreaking here, and late to the game. But, maybe not a bad thing. The cool stuff - razor looks cool and is a 2-piece. Fairly priced. Hefty. Longer handle. First shave on it was easy, and near perfect once u engage the proper angle. Misses are that they still choose to avoid milled heads for the most part. Still no "Parker" naming on the razors. Handle looks cool but is not very grippy for a newbie to be confident. It will excite some people and bore others, being a 'solo' edge - I personally like the idea of razor only using half a DE. First shave was enjoyable, so I can see myself reaching for this regularly, but wont be a favorite. Not a bad buy at all and good job by Parker to try something else. For me, the gamble worked.
