Apricity has fast become one of my personal favorites. Fruits of the sun greet you initially with a gorgeous apricot note becoming evident almost immediately. Apricots tend to smell a lot like peaches, however, I'm using a wonderful natural apricot essence. The note is syrupy, but not overly sweet...more on the semi-sweet tart spectrum. I shouldn't say syrupy, as this may give you the wrong impression of the overall scent. The oil on its own has a syrupy/ tart unmistakable apricot note. Asian Plum was originally made as a gift for testers of my tallow based, goats milk & lanolin soap. Anthony Esposito had suggested that we come up with a plum type scent for the guys and mentioned one of his favorites, a European soap which is extremely difficult to find...truly unobtanium. I took this as a challenge and embarked on this journey to create a soap, reminiscent of this great mysterious shaving soap. Another friend and fellow VIP member sent a sample as a comparison. The rest is history! I added many of the same notes found in the original, however, I wanted to put my own spin on this great scent. There’s a beautiful vanilla note, which comes from the absolute we use. The scent is further enhanced by the richness of our Somalian sweet myrrh. T he tobacco absolute is very dry and subtle. The incense is blended with musk to give this composition a hazy undertone that has the subtle hint of sweetness from amber. There is a floral powdery background from the iris, which rounds out the whole composition beautifully.
