Customer review

Ive been wet shaving for about 5 years and always with synthetic brushes. I was very happy with them but curiosity over the great reviews about Semogue boar brushes got the best of me. This was my first natural hair brush. The first couple of tries I couldn't get any lather no matter how hard I tried and was ready to give up on this brush. But then I saw the accelerated break in videos on youtube. So I soaked the brush in cold water in the fridge for several days and then rubbed it on a towel for a good while and that was what it took. Now I can say its an excellent performer. It has the softness of synthetic plus it has backbone. The best of both worlds. Do the fridge soak first and you will enjoy the brush. Take a chance its not and expensive brush and the reward is a good one!

Customer review

My first brush was a boar from the super market, so I decided to order an Omega 6215 silvertip badger brush. By the time I had ordered and received the brush from another site I was well into the enjoyment of face lathering with my boar hair brush. Therefore I tried multiple attempts with the badger brush to face lather and while it did OK, I missed the exfoliation I got from the cheap store bought brush. I finally decided to order a Semogue of which I had read astounding reviews for, and this brush is amazing! The tips are softer than I expected, but the backbone is still enough to both face lather and exfoliate. I had the best shave of my life with this brush. I'm sure it will only get better as it breaks in, but on a side note it only lost a couple of hairs during this first shave. The only con I can think of for this brush is the size of the knot. It's by no means a very large brush, but I cannot blame that on the brush or manufacturing though. I was scared to get a "floppy" brush with a bigger loft.

Similar to Semogue's 830, but a bit shorter. Dries overnight easily. Plenty of backbone! Creates great lather with hard soaps. Beautiful black/clear handle. Fine quality, not a shedder! Highly recommended. In fact, a 620/830 rotation would be grand. Buy both!

I just started face lathering and this has been the best choice of brush that I could buy. This brush is perfect in size and quality. Perfect for face lathering.

Customer review

A very nice choice for face lathering. Great backbone and density! Handle is also cool.
