Great quality

I personally don’t like the scent, but it IS on point with the description, and it smells real; not perfumey. The lather on it is great, too. It gives a great cushion and glide, and I felt refreshed after the shave. B&M’s description of the scent is on point - it has a bit of a fougere scent that’s blended very well with scents of smoldering ash and burning wood. On the puck, there’s an aroma of dirt/mulch that, when lathered, becomes the “mushroom” note that’s very noticeable. If you don’t like the smell of mushrooms (like me), you may not like this soap. it smells real, it’s very complex, and it’s one of the more unique scents out there. I feel it would be great for a rainy summer day, or any day in autumn.

My New Daily Driver

Purchased this last Fall for myself, and nabbed some of the aftershave as well. I am very glad I did, as this soap turned out to be one of my absolute favorites. Other tubs sit in the cabinet jealous that this one sits on the countertop! I've tried out some "earthy" scented soaps before, but they either came out too much like dirt, or more floral than anything else. None really ever hit the mark like this. Not as intense to make folks think you climbed out of a hole in the ground, but strong enough to evoke memories of hauling wood in the Fall. Smokey, but not overbearing. Lather is fantastic, but you need a bit more water than some others. Even with a synthetic brush, if you give it enough water, the lather will be plenty. I did pick up some aftershave, as the scent doesn't stick with you past lunch without it. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend giving it a shot.

After trying more than 100 soaps and shaving creams, and after reading the opinions of various forums, I decided to buy this soap and... SPECTACULAR, aroma of moist earth reminds me of my childhood when I used to make a hole to play balls, that same aroma, it's incredible, they have interpreted it brilliantly.

Walk on the wild side

Digging straight to **** to shake hands with the mysterious master himself. Obviously sophisticated in nature & yet will terrify yuppies not worthy to walk on the wild side. I was lucky enough to procure everything in this particular scent & use it with intentions to evoke a darker self. Soap, Splash, Perfume, will turn heads & feelings from those around you. Use responsibly & be rewarded. Excess will turn on you in the wrong setting. Reserve for concerts, a night at the dive/speakeasy, black mass & so on. An evening that doesn't end lurking around the graveyard isn't a proper night out.

Just shaved with this today. Gotta say, the lather is a bit thirsty but once you work it up it performs like a charm. Thick enough to feel on the face not too thick to hide facial contours. Super slick when you touch blade to skin; even my usual problem areas were a breeze. No razor burn whatsoever. Scent is fantastic as well. Ever walked in a forest after a rain? Yeah, we are talking earthy, peaty, and smokey with a hint of spice. Spicy earth/soil is what I've just dubbed it. In any case, get one!
