5Some time ago, Barrister & Mann had the extraordinary fortune to obtain a sample of the original base of Pour un Homme de Caron. Armed with only this small sample and a basic knowledge of what had gone into the original, we set out to recreate the famous base by smell alone.
After four months of research, formulation, reformulation, and constant refinement, we successfully rebuilt Mousse de Saxe into its original glory. It seemed only fitting that such an achievement should be used to create a scent inspired by one of Caron’s most famous fragrances: Pour un Homme de Caron.
We have not copied the original; instead, we have taken the Mousse de Saxe and blended it with lavender, vanilla, cedar wood, and the elegant musk Exaltolide to create a dark, leathery, elegant scent unlike anything seen for nearly a half century.
Ingredients: Alcohol Denat., Allantoin Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (witch hazel), Leaf Water, Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) extract, Acqua (and) Glycerin (and) Taurine (and) Chlorella vulgaris/Lupinus albus Protien Ferment (and) Acanthopanaxx senticosus (Eleuthero) Root Extract (and) Sodium Benzoate (and) Potassium Sorbate, Parfum (fragrance oil), Acetylsalicylic Acid, (Vegetable) Glycerin, dl-Panthenol (Provitamin B), Sodium Lactate, Citric acid, Matricara Chamomilla (German Chamomile) l. extract, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Citronellol, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Geraniol, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Cinnamate, Citral, Coumarin, Famesol, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal, Benzyl Alcohol.

Maggard Razors will make every effort to ship out orders on the same day placed before 12pm EST Monday-Friday. On Saturday, most parcels should ship if placed before 10am EST - otherwise it will ship the following Monday. Orders will be shipped in the order in which they are received. If it is an unusually busy day your order may be delayed no more than 1 business day.
Unused items (except samples) may be returned within 10 days for a full refund or store credit. For orders that qualified for free or reduced shipping, if a return causes the resulting total order size to be under the free shipping threshold (currently $59.00), the actual cost of shipping we paid will be reduced from your refund. Used products may not be returned, and all sales are final on Samples.
