not a good scent

The lather quality seemed excellent. The smell was not terrible, but just not to my liking. I bought it as a sample and threw the rest away, without even using it. The smell of regular Cella is much better, especially since they are working against budget constraints. It says Aloe Vera on the front of the tub, so maybe it isn't designed to smell particularly nice, but people buy it for some skin healing properties. I guess I'm too impatient to test all of that out.

Lather — but that smell

The two stars come from the need to distill my ideas into a single rating. The soap by itself is a 4-star product because it lathers better than any other vegan/vegetarian soap I've tried. But I cannot get past that smell. Unlike the regular Cella soap with its light almond scent, this soap has a heavy, spicy fragrance that lingers — and lingers and lingers. It clung to my skin so that hours after I shaved, I could still smell it. And I'm not one of those people who want to smell like mens cologne, or like anything at all.

This is excellent shaving cream. This is my first Cella product. With good brush and warm water, the later is very rich. The scent is mild and suits my preference.
