Declaration Grooming Champs de Lavande Artisan Shaving Soap, 4oz - Milksteak Base

Champs de Lavande is the embodiment of a Midwestern prairie in an early summer midafternoon on the Oregon Trail. After reading about the adventures of Henri Chatillon in the memoir, The Oregon Trail, Herman Melville called Chatillon the most gallant man to ever kill a bison. When summertime blooms and the bison graze, the smell of these Midwestern fields fills their nostrils. As Chatillon and his Sioux companions cautiously approach under the cover of a nearby thicket, the smell of lavender and the undergrowth are beaten out by the sun, directly overhead.

To capture the smell of that afternoon, Champs de Lavande uses two types of lavender, ylang ylang, eucalyptus, rosemary, bergamot and black pepper to create an elegantly simple scent.

BASE: Milksteak is my tongue-in-cheek name for the culmination of all of my soap crafting experience to date. While the name may be whimsical, it was an incredibly difficult decision to deprecate Bison and Icarus - one I would not make without full confidence that I was releasing not only the best soap base I have ever developed, but one of the finest soap bases ever created.

Over three years of customer feedback, research, theory crafting and, of course, love, went into this soap base. I focused on ease of use (softer than Icarus), slickness, and post-shave - all the hallmarks of a great soap.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Water, Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Vegetable Glycerin, Bison Tallow, Mango Butter, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Sodium Hydroxide, Lanolin, Bentonite Clay, Yogurt, Buttermilk, Egg Whites, Coconut Milk, Goat's Milk, Tocopheryl Acetate, Maltodextrin, Milk Protein, Salix Alba L. (White Willow) Bark Extract,  Arctium lappa (Burdock) Root Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Silk Amino Acids

• Maggard Razors will make every effort to ship out orders on the same day placed before 12pm EST Monday-Friday. On Saturday, most parcels should ship if placed before 10am EST - otherwise it will ship the following Monday.  Orders will be shipped in the order in which they are received. If it is an unusually busy day your order may be delayed no more than 1 business day. 

• Unused items (except samples) may be returned within 10 days for a full refund or store credit. For orders that qualified for free or reduced shipping, if a return causes the resulting total order size to be under the free shipping threshold (currently $59.00), the actual cost of shipping we paid will be reduced from your refund. Used products may not be returned, and all sales are final on Samples.
