This was my first purchase of an Eleven soap. It was a delightful shave from start to finish. Upon opening the tub, you get a nice pine or spruce scent. It is well done to say the least. I'd compare the scent to several other outstanding soaps I've owned over the years: Stirling Coniferous, Mike's Natural Soaps Pine and Cedarwood, the Sudsy Soapery Pine and Cedar, and Wickham 1912 Christmas Spruce. The star of the show, however, was the Julien soap base. Wow! I will leave all the technical aspects to the "shaving soap professionals" and "youtubers," but for me, the lather was exceptional (I use a scuttle), the cushion, protection, glide, slickness, residual slickness, and post shave were all in the elite category. I really can't image a soap base or shave (including scent) being any better. It was truly one of my best shaves. When I finished my two passes and touch ups around my goatee, I rinsed off with water and kept looking in the mirror for soap on my face. There was none of course, but the softness and cleanness of a solid shave lingered. I could not believe my face felt so wonderful AFTER the shave. I could have dried my face and walked away, but rewarded my skin, as my custom, with an aftershave balm and aftershave to tighten things up. My face has felt amazing throughout the day. I hope you sense my great satisfaction with a quality product, and another superb transaction from the wonderful folks at Maggard Razors. To the Eleven team, you've got a winner in my book. Keep up the good work. Thanks also Maggards for carrying such a top-tier shaving soap.
