I wet shaving more than 40 years, this is the best razor I ever had. Some of the pricier brand not even close to Fatip. Well done, excellent product.

A great slant razor at a good price

I typically form my opinion of razors after doing one pass razors, since I originally got into wet shaving for the increased comfort of the experience, I don't care much for multiple passes. This razor really performs above its price range. It's a very smooth, comfortable shaver. I used a pretty mild Minora Platinum blade in it and it still mowed down a week worth's of beard growth without effort, leaving behind a nice, smooth face without any nicks, weepers or rawness. I checked with an alum block afterwards and can confirm it did well. The only things I could criticize this razor on would be its quality of nickel plating (which isn't flawless like Muhle, for example) and that it lacks a knurled finish on the handle, but I didn't personally experience any problem with retention in my hand. It seems sufficient for me. The handle length is just the right goldilocks length. If you're considering buying a Merkur or Razorock 34 slant razor, don't. Get this razor instead.

Very unique-

I normally use a Rockwell with #4 plate, but not very impressed with closeness. When I shave with the #5, I have to be very careful. I still usually nick myself at least once trying to get a closer shave with the #5. The Fatip looks strange. The slant, along with the short twisted handle was kind of intimidating. After my first shave, it's now my favorite. So close, and comfortable. I didn't even slow down shaving my sensitive neck area. Glad I took a chance, and tried something different...
