Great value for mid-mild brass razor

The Fatip il Piccolo Gentile is a fantastic value razor. It's made of plated brass, which means it will last for a lifetime as long as its not dropped. Aggression falls in the mild-mid range. The Piccolo has some blade feel; enough that you can easily tell when it's cutting. The blade feel isn't so strong as to be uncomfortable, however. The blade alignment and plating - long time issues with Fatip razors - are decent. I had to play with the blade lightly to ensure the blade was even, but there isn't a lot of wiggle on the blade. Whether the plating holds up over time remains to be seen. Gold is a good option if the plating does wear down since it will be less obvious. My only gripe is the lack of knurling and the narrow handle. Since the handle is short, thin, and lacking horizontal grip, this razor requires a little more attention to hang onto with soapy, wet hands. Overall for $20, this is an excellent value razor for anyone that likes mild razors with a touch of blade feel.
