Absolutely delighted with the razor. It seemed flimsy, and very light, but feels great in the hand shaving and gives a very close shave (I used Feather blades). It's also very easy to clean. This has me wondering how good the expensive one is - maybe it lasts longer ? - because honestly this is now my one and only and I'll retire the other five SRs I've used for years. Packing was perfect, a welcome five Feather blades included, a very nice storage/travel case - this is an absolute deal, believe me.

Better than the fancier one I had. This is the best I’ve ever tried. I only use this razor. The handle is nice and long too, so if you have large hands, I’d recommend this razor. It’s not too aggressive but it works great with the more aggressive and sharp blades like Feather and Shark. Didn’t work great with milder blades like Voshkod but I have super coarse hair.

Plastic wouldn't flake or corrode over time. The Popular has caused me to stop using my 'good' razors. It's been dropped on a tile floor; no problems. Love it, even got a spare just in case. Paid $11.10 shipped on ebay.

I bought this razor purely out of curiosity. I was quite surprised with the results. I agree with everything the other reviewers have noted. This is a surprisingly mild razor, even using Feather blades. I have used it for 3-pass shaves without a single nick or weeper -- I can't say that about the more expensive razors that I own! It is very light, due to the mostly-plastic construction, but still gives a close shave without applying pressure. I would certainly recommend this product for beginners. It works well for "old pros," too. For $18 (including 5 Feather blades), you don't have much to risk to give it a try.

I purchased this razor to use as a travel razor, for a couple of reasons. First, it's made by Feather. Second, the price point is low enough to help alleviate worry if it's left somewhere. I must say though...I shaved with this bad boy the day I got it, and the results were absolutely stunning. I used a Lord blade, and Proraso red shaving cream. Since then I have found myself reaching for this razor just about every time I shave. Honestly, it's that good. I believe that this would be a great starter razor for a newbie getting into wet shaving. It's mild, forgiving, and cheap enough so you won't care too much if you decide to ditch wet shaving go back to the cartridges. Advanced shavers should also have one of these in their arsenal. I am sure you will not be disappointed.
