Officina Artigiana Stay Traditional shaving soap 150ml

The fragrance chosen for Stay Traditional shaving line is citrusy, with predominant notes of grapefruit softened by lemon peel on a bed of peach and wild strawberries. The central notes are ozonic and saline that close dancing on a base of white musk.

Made up of 40% of the 5 precious wellness oils of Artisan workshop (jojoba, Argan, Almond, Grapeseed, Castor) this shaving soap is totally dedicated to the quality and quantity of the pure and certified raw materials used. Yet, it is not (only) the raw materials that make this shaving soap unique but it is its complex production process. The mixture is hot worked 5 times e with 5 different mixing phases of the ingredients.
Every vegetable fat is worked with different times, phases and quantities. A meticulous and complex manual operation which makes the precious oils contained able to nourish and keep nourished the skin many hours after shaving, giving real beneficial effects to the skin of the face.

The jars filling nozzle was built on our technical drawing to obtain a visual effect in line with the purchased product; An abstract flower composed of 5 petals which recalls both its own natural origin and 5 wellness oils used in the production phase.

Please note: unfortunately not all pots have a perfectly successful flower, it is a manual process of rotation of the pot during the filling phase which required the acquisition of some experience before obtaining a perfect result.

Developed using our 5 wellness oils, this shaving soap is made up almost entirely of Jojoba, Castor, Argan, Coconut, Almond and Grapeseed oils used in different stages of production. The tests have been many and with mixed results but the final result is something that has been able to go beyond all our expectations.

Customer review

I'm a citrus fanatic when it comes to shave soaps, and this is near the top of what I've tried. It's a very natural, bright grapefruit/orange scent. The soap is quite soft. A few swirls of the brush is all you need. The lather builds easily and quickly, even with my hard water. This stuff is very slick. The post shave is also excellent, but lighter than some of the more super-fatted artisan soaps. There is no feeling of greasiness after rinsing, although the scent lingers for awhile. It comes in a large glass jar with plenty of room for the brush. I wish more soap makers would use glass instead of plastic. Officina Artigiana is an undiscovered gem.

Customer review

I've probably tried about 40 or 50 different shaving soaps and creams, and this one is my hands-down absolute favorite. The scent is phenomenal--a heavenly citrus blend. Grapefruit predominates at first, but there's orange and lemon, too, and like all great scents, it develops over time, enveloping you as it opens up. It is the only soap that I occasionally open just to smell and then smile. The performance is also phenomenal--super easy to develop into slick, cushiony lather that really facilitates sliding sharp steel across your face with no effect other than the removal of stubble. Like most of it's Italian brethren, this is a soft soap. It comes in a seriously hefty glass jar that's sized well for brush loading. If you're not a citrus lover you should check out the other O. A. soap, which performs as well as this one. But if you have any fondness for grapefruit and other "agrumes" you've got to give this a try. I'm hoping Maggard will be able to get the matching aftershave!
