Forest City Fern Aftershave Splash - is our take on a traditional Fougere. Over a dozen fragrance ingredients blend seamlessly, featuring a well-rounded lavender top end that gives way to an earthy, woody base.

THE FOREST CITY FERN STORY
No one's quite sure how Cleveland acquired the "Forest City" nickname, but it's generally thought to have come from a history of efforts and encouragement by city officials to plant shade and fruit trees. Having spent a great deal of time in our area's outdoor spaces, we're certainly grateful for our forefathers' efforts. Hiking through the trails of our local park hunting for fossils in creek beds with our kids, we were inspired to recreate the scent experience in our Forest City Fern shaving soap and splash.

Rust Belt Reserve products feature luxurious ingredients blended with complex, expertly crafted, premium fragrances.

A soothing, alcohol-free after shave splash with witch hazel and a touch of menthol.

Actually I'm in love with this amazing scent! It's a fougere type. You either fall in love with this or move away. But the contents of SS splashes are just too simple. It's basically a Witch Hazel + a bits of glycerin. It's like an witch hazel toner. Feels good for a skin but not enough "healing" for wounded skin after shave. Might work for someone who prefer simple ingredient list though. For me it's 6 out of 5 for the scent & 3/5 for the ingredients. Similar scented soap are 5 out of 5 for me.

This scent is just not for me at all. I don't know what fern is supposed to smell like, but if it smells like this, I will be getting out the weed killer if it sprouts in my yard. I have had scents grow on me after a while but I have had this for a while and I still don't love it. The facefeel was good though. It is sad, too, because I love the Shannon's Soaps I have. I would highly recommend the few that I own. There is a Bay/Grapefruit scent that is awesome. Try that and maybe skip the funky fern aftershave.
