I've had this razor for more than a year now so I can confidently speak to how well it holds up with age, which is to say: very well. Spring is still strong, finish is still beautiful, everything still fits and works perfectly.
This razor holds its blade very tight and offers minimal blade exposure, making it quite rigid AND forgiving for newcomers to the shavette experience. The grip is substantial and easier to hold and control than skinny scissor-style shavettes. Is it as smooth as an Artist Club shavette? No, but it's also only $20 and uses cheap DE blades, so I wouldn't expect the same experience.
I recommend getting half-DE blades or cutting full DE blades in half with scissors / side-cutters instead of folding & snapping them, because the ol' fold & snap leaves a little bend in the tabs and makes it much harder to load and align the blade in these razors; cutting the blade instead of snapping it leaves the tabs straight and flat, making loading and blade alignment almost perfectly effortless.
