Taconic Shave Bay Rum Organic Shave Cream, 4oz

Like other reviewers, I have tried the Bay Rum cream with a Maggard sample. While the scent is not going to move me to order a tub, the quality of the lather and the smooth shave it afforded will bring me back to try some others in the Taconic line. The lather provided very nice cushioning when applied heavily, and it was plenty slick when applied sparingly, over a re-wetted face, to let me make final passes on "those spots" like jaw line and chin. While I'm at it: Maggard's making these small samples available is another example of their absolute alignment to what their customers appreciate. The size of these samples is ample and very helpful to those of us returning after decades to wet-shaving. I have yet to find any reason to shop anywhere else for a product Maggard sells.

I bought one of the samples and I really enjoyed this shaving cream. The scent is very sweet with a slight touch of spice. It was almost pumpkin like and strong. I enjoyed the scent quite a bit. The texture of the cream is almost sticky but lathers great. It provides a lot of cushion and protects the skin very well. I would definitely recommend at least trying a sample. I will be buying a tub after I use up all of the samples I bought.

I bought the sample of this soap. It made a nice lather and was a great shave when mixed with Maggard preshave oil. I gave it 3/5 stars since the soap smelled like root beer to me (I tend to have a sensitivity to scents). The scent is unique and I would recommend it if you like that scent. I've never used a bay rum scent so I'm not sure exactly what it's supposed to smell like...

Taconic ranks up there with some of the best creams I've used. It has great glide and cushion that protects against even the scary sharp blades that Brad has honed for me! I've tried the Bay Rum and Eucalyptus Mint scents and both are great. And as an added bonus, it's made in the USA!!!
