Taylor of Old Bond Street Traditional Shaving Soap Refill, 57g

This soap doesn't have much fragrance, but what it lacks there it makes up in performance. Super slick and cushy lather . I like it, just good shave soap !

I must say this is the slickest soap I've used to date. It requires a tad more work to get it to lather then all of a sudden Bam ! There's almost no scent to this other than a soap scent. Plain and simple but effective. It definitely performs better than Taylor's creams in both cushion and slickness. This is a very pure, dense, hard, high quality soap. Excellent for face lathering as it makes you work it in better to achieve a good lather, hence softening the beard thoroughly. Excellent shave soap.

This is a traditional style soap. Much like old tyme like Williams, colgate etc. Soak it in hot water with the brush for 10 min. Add a small amout of water to the bottom of the bowl whip up lather till it thickens, then put brush back on soap and load some more.Keep whipping till thick. These soaps love water.

I don't particularly care for the scent, it's too much like a hand soap for my liking. when I first bought this soap I had a terrible time getting it to lather with any brush, the lather just would not build at all. I couldn't send it back for a refund, so i just kept trying. after about two weeks of trying to lather it every day, it finally started working. this soaps works best with my simpson special best badger, it makes cream thicker than anything else i've ever used before. with other brushes it just doesn't seem to get nearly as thick. i've never had to break a soap in like this one, but it is still worth trying out
