Timeless Razor Model TRBR78 Bronze Open Comb DE Safety Razor

Great craftsmanship and a great shave. You need to know your DE blades. This can be a versatile razor for coarse to fine facial hair, but you need to choose your blades wisely. If no care is given to your blade choice, then it can be overly aggressive. If you are a skilled DE shaver then this 'work of art' can be wielded like a surgeons scalpel. The only knock is its heft but expected from bronze. If your prone to getting some slippery fingers it wants to slip, so keep your hands dry and firm then receive a great DE safety razor shave.

Full disclosure, I did not purchase this razor from Maggards. I had intended to, but when I received a bonus from work Maggard had sold out. I ended up purchasing from Timeless directly, although would have preferred dealing with Maggard. That aside, this is a great razor. I only have two shaves on it so far, however, I've been able to determine a great bit about it from those two shaves. 1. It CAN be aggressive (If you are). My first shave, as with most new razors, went very smoothly as I was still getting a handle on how it shaved. Great results and no irritation from a WTG, XTG, ATG pass, damn near BBS. My confidence having been pretty high after that first one, I was a little cocky on the second go around. While still not a bad shave at all, the second time was a little rougher but I feel that was my fault, not the razor's. 2. The fit and finish are gorgeous. While I intended to allow the patina when I first decided on this one, my stance wavered a bit once it was in my hand. This baby is a knockout! My 4yr old told me it was my rich man's razor because it was "so gold". I still will probably allow the patina to come, but not in as big of a hurry as I first thought. 3. Prob not an everyday razor. I plan to use it as my main razor, but I shave 2-3 times per week at the very maximum. This guy might wear you out a little if you shaved day in and day out with him. Although I would say I have a medium thickness level of facial hair and somebody with beefier whiskers might be able to pull it off. All said, this is the definition of a show piece razor. While I know that everybody loves the titanium and stainless razors, which look damn sexy too, this one just screams class and produces where it really counts. While there may be pricier razors out there, this one is the best amalgamation of price, quality, performance, and style. Get it, seriously, why are you still reading this? Buy the damn thing!
