A synthetic water stone, the Naniwa 10000 grit is one of the highest rated finishing stones on the market. Consistent results, and mirror-polished smooth shaves. Stones should be lapped before first use! With a 10,000 grit Naniwa superstone, you can maintain all of your straight razors with ease - just do 10 strokes or so a month with only water and very little pressure, and your razor will stay sharp for as long as you're around!

Handmade in the USA by Mountain Mike Hanger system consists of 3 components: Pre punched Leather strip approx. 1" x 4" x 1/8" thick available in Red or Black. 1 1/2" Countersunk Head screw 5/8" diameter metal finishing washer Installation: Leather strip is passed through the metal ring at the end of strop, screw passes through the finishing washer and then both holes of the leather strip forming a loop. Screw into wall stud or H.D. anchor for drywall application. This set up will secure the ring in a fixed position on a wall. The strop can hang or be removed from hanger system, if desired.

The Naniwa Nagura Dressing Stone is an optional stone used for cleaning and refreshing the surface of Naniwa and other water stones. During sharpening, swarf, the waste metal removed from the blade being sharpened, can build up on the stone's surface. If not removed, the build up of swarf can slow a stone's sharpening action considerably. Using a Nagura Dressing stone, it is possible to clean the surface of a water stone without without removing as much material as more aggressive flattening stone would. This is useful when your stone could use a cleaning, but doesn't yet need flattening. Soak Before Use For best results, the Naniwa Nagura Dressing Stone should be soaked for several minutes until saturated prior to use. While your water stone is wet, rub the Nagura Dressing Stone on the water stone's surface until the surface is clean and free of the dark marks left by sharpening. Rinse the water stone thoroughly to remove grit left behind by the Nagura Dressing Stone before using or storing. Rinse the Nagura Dressing Stone and allow to dry between sharpening sessions. 600 grit. 2 3/4" x 2" x 1 3/8" (65mm x 47mm x 32mm). Made in Japan.

These German manufactured pinning supplies are an excellent option to pin up our recently introduced Ralf Aust replacement scales. They also match the look of many other current production razors (Boker, Dovo) - and many 20th century vintage razors. Included is enough supplies to pin 2 razors. 4 Nails 4 Wide Washers (for between tang and scale) 8 Rosettes (we include an extra 4 in case you drop any during pinning. they disappear, believe me) These nails are relatively short -- which means if you're buying them to pin a custom set of scales, you need to ensure that the max width of your razor tang, both scales, and pivot washers must be less than 0.470" to make these pins usable!! IMPORTANT NOTE: The rosettes do not fit over the tip of the nails without some force. You must make a small jig from a very hard wood or a soft metal block (brass or aluminum) to use these pins. Use a 1/16" bit, drill a hole least 1/2" deep, and then drill a very shallow countersink with a 1/8" bit. Set the rosette washer carefully in the countersink, and assemble your razor, then guide the tip of the nail into the rosette and give it a few taps from the other side. The rosette will easily slide over the nail and at that point is permanent. Trim off the tip of the nail, and file the nail shorter if necessary, then peen it carefully.

These high quality Horn Scales are manufactured in Germany and used for Ralf Aust Razors. These replacement scales come in three sizes: Sm - Med - Large for pairing with 5/8, 6/8, or 7/8 razors. No Pinning hardware is included. The wedge end is predrilled; the pivot end is not allowing you to drill it at the appropriate length for your razor. We wanted to pay homage to the extraordinary racing mare Schwarzgold with our elegant Straight Razor Schwarzgold with black Ruthenium coating on a base of a complete 24-carat gilding. Schwarzgold was born in 1937 at the stud farm Schlenderhahn as the daughter of the stallion Alchimist and the broodmare Schwarzliesel. Schwarzgold was an exceptional horse in every respect. Contemporary sports lovers called the English thoroughbred a galloping machine, miracle mare, and superior horse. In 1940, she won the Diana prize with 6 lengths, the German Derby in the same year even with a legendary 10 lengths. The classic Kissaszony race was named after her the following year. Despite this superior and hitherto unknown superiority, it is believed that Schwarzgold was never pushed to the limit, meaning that she actually always galloped short of her true potential. The reason for this (and another fascinating fact that gave rise to the legend) was the difficult character of the mare. Her trainer Georg Arnull prohibited any use of the otherwise common bridle during training and during races. Everything Schwarzgold did, she did of her own will. Add to that the fact that Schwarzgold could only be used on sand since it was impossible to control her on grass. The specter of the NS regime hovered over every victory of Schwarzgold. Waldemar von Oppenheim, the owner of the stud farm Schlenderhahn and thus the owner of Schwarzgold was expropriated shortly after the victories. This put an end to any international career Schwarzgold might have had. As a broodmare, Schwarzgold gave birth to two foals. One of the two foals - Schwarzblaurot - continued the Schwarzgold line which still brings out numerous winners. We had to brainstorm hard to be able to convey the elegance and superiority of the mare to the knife dedicated to her without compromising. We finally came to the solution of coating the blade ground extra hollow with belly completely in 24 carat gold as a first step. The Ruthenium coating applied in the negative process only holds optimally on this basis and retains its incomparable anthracite color and silky sheen. Ruthenium is a chemical element with the label Ru and atomic number 44. It is an extremely hard platinum metal which is only used very little. It thus is congruent with the exceptional character of the eponymous Straight Razor. The handle material is just as consistently refined. The select and black Bog Oak Wood picks up the beautiful color combination of the blade and lives up to the outstanding quality of the entire knife.
