This is my first Edwin Jagger and am in love with it. This razor is not just for beginners. I have been using DE razors for 7 years and own many mild, medium, and aggressive razors. I can honestly say this razor tops all of them so far and the price is perfect. The great shaves are coming from a simple Derby blade. I am excited to try a better quality blade in the future. If you get a chance give this model a try.

Picked this razor up because I've always read & heard great things about EJ razors. Glad I did! The weight of this razor is great, seems to balance in my hand perfectly. The rubber grip feels nice and secure, and the head performs very well. I started off with a Merkur 33C, with the slim handle, and now I have this awesome EJ razor in my shaving arsenal. I'm partial to the EJ simply because the weight. I don't think there is any major differences in the performance of the two, I get BBS shaves with them both. In my opinion this is a great razor.

I Love Edwin Jagger Razors! I got this one about a month ago and it shaves just as good as any other Edwin Jagger razor that I own. After the first shave with one I fell in love with the smooth glide across my skin and the sound of my whiskers getting chopped down and going by the wayside with the thick lather I had built up for my shave. The comfort level of aggressiveness is outstanding, for someone who dosent want a razor so mild that they don't know there shaving but not so aggressive that they feel like they may have no skin left when done, its a perfect medium for myself. Your skin may vary. Now for the rubber coated handle, the grip is amazing! No hard knurling to possibly irritate your fingers, just a slight rubber cushion for one of the most comfortable handles I own, but I must say I do also love knurling on the handle. The weight of this razor is actually about .02 more heavy than most EJ razors, at least mine was. and I'm not talking about the new long handle ones from EJ just the regular ones. Now have a great day and a wonderful shave. As far as I'm shaving, EJ all the way! My face loves them!
